Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/div) in Experimental Physics for Neutral Beam Injection

The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) as an institute of the Max Planck Society for the Advancement of Science (registered association) is one of the leading centers for fusion research and is engaged in developing the physical foundations for a future fusion power plant. The institute is affiliated to the European Fusion Programme. The Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching offers within the department ITER Technology & Diagnostics (ITED) a position for a Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/div) in Experimental Physics for Neutral Beam Injection on the ASDEX Upgrade Tokamak. At its Garching site the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics (IPP) operates the Tokamak ASDEX Upgrade. The work horse among its heating systems is the Neutral Beam Injection (NBI) with an installed heating power of 20 MW. NBI is developed, maintained and operated by IPP's ITER Technology & Diagnostics (ITED) department. The NBI operation team at the ASDEX Upgrade is looking for reinforcement by a postdoctoral researcher.
