Software Engineer (m/f/div) – Data Lake Architect

The Max Planck Institute for Chemical Energy Conversion (MPI CEC) in Mülheim an der Ruhr studies fundamental chemical processes for energy storage in chemical molecules. The NFDI project, which is funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, aims to advance the development of the digital infrastructure. To this end, the data from an electronic labora­tory note­book, the measuring instruments, and existing data storage devices will be stored and mana­ged in a data lake at the insti­tute level according to the FAIR principle (Findable, Accessible, Inter­operable and Reusable). In addition, a crossinstitutio­nal interface to similar systems is desired. This will be developed in collaboration with the NFDI4Cat consortium. The position is to be filled as soon as possible and is for a fixed term until the end of the project (September 2025). We are looking for a Software Engineer (m/f/div) – Data Lake Architect
