Externally Funded Doctoral Student (m/f/d) - Epigenetic Regulation of Pancreatic Cancer Cell Plasticity (Johnsen group)

Job Description Utilize modern sequencing-based molecular biology approaches (RNA-seq, ChIP-seq, HiChIP, Hi-C, PRO-seq, etc.) to test hypothesis and examine epigenetic and gene regulatory mechanisms controlling pancreatic tumor cell identity and therapy response. Bioinformatic analysis and interpretation of data followed by hypothesis testing and generation. Perform multiplex immunofluorescence staining to confirm gene regulatory mechanisms in primary tumor tissue using multispectral imaging with an Akoya PhenoImager. Perform tissue-based preparation of histological samples (FFPE tumor material) for single cell RNA-sequencing using the 10X Genomics technology. Perform advanced cell culture experiments to examine the effects of drug treatment in various translational model systems. Participation in internal or external research collaborations. Documentation of work procedures, data acquisition and
